Charles holds degrees in French, Portuguese, and Literature (2005) and a Master's Degree in Applied Linguistics (2009), all from the State University of Ceará, and a PhD in Literature from University of Brasília. He is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Brasília. Professor Charles is focused on Modern Foreign Languages, mainly working with intersemiotic translation, cinema, television, ideology, culture, and audio description qualification.
