Virgílio holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics from the University of Brasília (2011), a Master's Degree in Education from the Framingham State College (2006), and an Academic Degree in Letters from UFMG (1991). He is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Brasília, in the Bachelor's Degree of Applied Foreign Languages - Multilingualism and Information Society. Virgílio has experience in Education, especially in Foreign Language Teaching, with a focus on Communicative Competence, English Teaching, Multilingualism, and English Morphosyntax. He leads a research group on Communicative Competence in the Department of Foreign Languages and Translation at UnB.
